It was a much more expensive mat which looked better but had reached the end of useful life after our kids continuously spilled water on it and cause it to soak through and the foam padding under would get wet, stick to the floor and peel off when the mat moved.So I was in need of something else and this is an okay replacement. Hard to complain with the cheap price point but the main thing I had to deal with was the offensive chemical smell when first unboxing it. I happened to leave it outside on my front porch for a week or 2 (forgot about it) in the Ohio summer so temps ranged from 70s-90s with mild to high humidity. Now it doesn't give off any smell I can detect and can be put to work. Its easy to clean and I shouldn't have to worry about water spills with this material.I couldn't give it 5/5 because the smell caused it to initially be a deal breaker for both my wife and I but I was glad to see that faded when leaving it outdoors with the heat for a while.
